Peggy Casey

ROSSVILLE -- Peggy Lynn Casey, 46, Rossville, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, in the emergency room at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Casey had worked for Hallmark Cards in Topeka for 29 years.

She was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Leavenworth, the daughter of William T. and Ceora LaVerne Ferrell Meyer. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School and attended Highland Community College. She moved to Rossville in 1985.

She married Robert Duane Casey on Jan. 3,1981, in Oskaloosa. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughter, Heather Lynn Adams, Rossville, and Megan Delores Casey, at home; two sons, Kyle Robert Casey, at home, and Brent A. Adams, Rossville; her mother, C. LaVerne Meyer, Oskaloosa; five sisters, Helen Sands and Martha Massey, both of Meriden, Nancy Mills, Oskaloosa, and June Schiffelbien and Becky Brewer, both of Topeka; and two brothers, William L. Meyer, Oskaloosa, and Mark Meyer, Kansas City.

Services will be at Rossville Christian Church. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Casey will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

Peggy Lynn Casey

Peggy Lynn Casey, 46, Rossville, died Wednesday, February 28, 2001, in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital and Regional Medical Center, Topeka.

She was born December 5, 1954, in Leavenworth, the daughter of William T. and Ceora LaVerne Ferrell Meyer, and had lived in the Rossville area since 1985.

She was a graduate of Oskaloosa High School and attended Highland Community College. She was employed by Hallmark Cards for 29 years.

On January 3, 1981, she married Robert Duane Casey in Oskaloosa. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Heather Lynn Adams and Megan Delores Casey, both of Rossville; two sons, Kyle Robert Casey and Brent A. Adams, both of Rossville, her mother, C. LaVerne Meyer, Oskaloosa; five sisters, Helen Sands and Martha Massey, Meriden, Nancy Mills, Oskaloosa, June Schifflebien and Becky Brewer, both of Topeka; and two brothers, William L. Meyer, Oskaloosa, and Mark Meyer, Kansas City.

Her service was at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rossville Christian Church. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday evening at the Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka.

Jack O'Shaughnessy Dead

J.J. O'Shaughnessy, 53, died in Albuquerque, N.M., last Thursday night. For several years he had been in the grocery business at 401 Lafayette street, in Topeka. Funeral services were in Conwell's North Topeka chapel at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon and burial was in Topeka cemetery.

Mr. O'Shaughnessy is survived by his son Jack jr. He was well known in Rossville through his numerous visits here at the home of his wife's parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Miller. Mrs. O'Shaughnessy passed away a year or two ago.
