• Documents » Slide Show		Marriage- Miller, LuAnn-Baumchen, Paul 1 Miller-Baumchen Wedding Held July 21 Lu Ann Miller, daughter of Don and Betty Miller, Route #7, Topeka, became the bride of Paul Baumchen, son of Dan and Iona Baumchen, St. Marys, on Saturday, July 21. Father Clarence Krajecik officiated at the ceremony performed at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville. Kathy Olejnik was matron of honor, and John Baumchen, brother of the groom, was best man. David Miller and Joe Baumchen, brothers of the bridal couple, were the ushers. Ringbearer Michael Dukart and flower girl Jodi Miller are cousins of the bride. Chris Baumchen was lector, and George Baumchen and Lane Dukart served as altar boys. Diane and Suzanne Miller were in charge of the guest book and distributed the rice bags. Serving at the reception held in the Rossville City Park were Mary Baumchen, Denise Ebert, and Kate Miller. The bride’s gown, which she designed, was made by her mother. It was of ivory bridal satin with an overlay of bridal cloud, and was trimmed with ivory lace. A deep, lace- edged ruffle attached to the round neckline also formed the sleeves. Her bouquet was of peach sweetheart roses and baby’s breath. Paul wore a peach rose boutonniere on his suit. LuAnn, a graduate of Rossville High School, is a student in the Washburn University nursing program and is employed at St. Francis Hospital. Paul is a graduate of St. Marys High School and the Kaw Area Vo-Tech, where he earned a degree in ornamental horticulture. He is employed by Heritage Park Gardens, Topeka. The Baumchens are making their home in Topeka.
  		Marriage- Miller, LuAnn-Baumchen, Paul 2 Miller-Baumchen LuAnn Miller and Paul Baumchen exchanged marriage vows at 10 a.m. July 21 in St. Stanislaus Church, Rossville. The Rev. Clarence Krajicek officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Miller are parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Baumchen, St. Marys. Attending the couple were Kathy Olejnik, Topeka, and John Baumchen, St. Marys. The bride is a nursing student at Washburn University and is employed by St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Mr. Baumchen is a graduate of Kaw Area Vocational-Technical School, where he studied ornamental horticulture. He is employed by Heritage Parks, Inc. They are living at 1604 Fillmore.   		Bridal Shower- Miller, LuAnn Bridal Shower for LuAnn Miller Lu Ann Miller, bride-elect of Paul Baumchen, was the honored guest at a bridal shower on Friday, July 13, given by Mrs. Irene Miller and Mrs. Elsie Edwards at the home of Mrs. Irene Miller. Guests present were Vesta McKenzie, Alma Green, Naomi Ganson, Iona Baumchen, Chris Baumchen, Anne Baumchen, Carlene Carrier, Marilene Stockman, Kathy Stockman, Marty Stockman, Kay French, Viola Adkins, Betty and Sarah Miller, Violet Miller, Clara Baumchen, Josephine Liebhardt, Carolyn Miller, Margaret Miller, Sybil Deiter, Mary Baumchen, Nancy McKenzie, Pat Miller, Kim and Kelley Miller.
