  Anniversary- Hoobler, Vern and Mary Golden Wedding Celebration Set Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hoobler of Maple Hill will observe their Golden Wedding Anniversary with open house Sunday, June 9, at the Methodist Church Hall, St. Marys. No invitations are being issued, but friends and relatives are asked to call at the hall between 3 and 5 p.m. The couple request no gifts. A family dinner will be served at noon at the church for the immediate family. Mr. and Mrs. Hoobier were married June 4, 1913 at Topeka. They have nine children, 8 sons and one daughter and 29 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Hoobler have lived in the Turkey Creek community in Wabaunsee county most of their lives with the exception of living in Rossville from 1944 to 1949.
