 | Obituary- Freel, Glen Glen D. Freel, 72, Topeka, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at his home. He was born March 8, 1931, at Topeka, the son of James Ray and Ruby (Bixby) Freel Sr. A lifelong resident of Topeka, he was a graduate of Topeka High. Glen served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 1950s. He was a car salesman at many different car dealerships in Topeka. He had been a member of the American Legion Post No. 400 in Topeka, and had been an active member of the Democratic Party. Surviving are his son, Joshua Jager, Topeka; two daughters, two brothers, James R. Freel Jr., and Larry N. Freel, both of Topeka; a sister, Janice Lundy, Yadkinville, N.C., and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rama Freel, in infancy, and his brother, Billy Freel, who was killed during World War II. Mr. Freel s body was donated to the university of Kansas Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home.
