The bridegroom, a graduate of Delia High School, is serving in the U.S. Navy and will leave today for duty in Spain.

Serving as groomsmen were Chad Hurla and Michael Hurla, brothers of the groom; Mark Keller, brother of the bride; and Mark Meinhardt. Ushers were Gaven Gehrt, Heath Stuewe, Chris Schurk, and Darrin Meseke. The ring bearer was Caleb Bird, nephew of the groom. Candle lighters were Heather Hurla, sister-in-law of the groom, and Jill Harris. Ashley Smith and Erin Jeanneret, cousins of the bride, were guest book attendents, Jayna Smith, cousin of bride, and Tracy Quintanilla, cousin of the groom, were program attendents. Diane Gros, aunt of the groom, was the organist Vocalists were Heather Perry, cousin of the bride; and Shannon Wild. The bride’s aunts, Mary Lou Finnegan, Bobbie McGrath, Linda Perry, and Donna Smith, were in charge of the offertory. Becky and Beth Lindstrom assisted with the reception and dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Newbury. Ashley Smith and Erin Jeanerett, cousins of the bride, attended the gift table. A dance was held after the reception. Mrs. Hurla is a graduate of St. Marys High School and Washburn University, where she majored in Education. She is working for USD 321 at the Delia Grade School. Mr. Hurla graduated from Wabaunsee High School and is attending Washburn University. He works for USD 329 Mill Creek Valley as a substitute teacher and high school football coach. The couple honeymooned in Dallas, TX, over the Thanksgiving weekend. They reside in Paxico.
