Bill and Linda Raine of Topeka will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 3 in Fellowship Hall at Maple Hill Community Church.
Hosts will be their children, Todd and Dana Raine and Troy Raine, and their grandchildren, Erica, Tasha, Tamara and levi.
Bill Raine and Linda Ungeheuer were married April 18,1961, in Topeka.
Mr. Raine retired in 1998 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 35 years of service.
Mr. and Mrs. Raine are self- employed real estate agents. Mr.
Raine also is an auctioneer.

Bill and Linda Ungeheuer Raine will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a family dinner.
They were married April 18,1961, at the home of Wilbur Dull in Topeka. Bill retired from Goodyear Tire after 36 years. He is busy with his auction service and a commercial cow herd.
They are both employed at Manhattan Commission Company.
Linda has been in real estate sales for 34 years and is in Avon sales.
The Raines are the parents of Todd (Dana) Raine and Troy Raine. They
have three granddaughters and one grandson. They also have two great- grandsons; one deceased.

 | Obituary- Raine, William L. William L. “Bill” Raine
William L. “Bill” Raine, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at his home. He was born in Topeka on October 4, 1942, the son of Otto M. George Jr. and Ruth Mae Schlotz George.
Bill lived in the Maple Hill area most of his life and graduated from Maple Hill High School. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, retiring in 1997. In 1986, Bill pursued a desire to follow his dad’s profession and attended the World Wide Auctioneer School at Mason City, IA. This profession he followed until 2019. He also loved the cowboy life, which he fulfilled by owning his own cow herd. Caring for the mother cows and enjoying the calving season were a joy for him. Bill was a member of the Maple Hill Community Congregational Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth Raine; his father, Otto George Jr; a son, William Todd Raine and a great-grandson, Ryan Herrin.
William L. “Bill” Raine and Linda Sue Ungeheuer were united in marriage in Topeka on April 18, 1961. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, Troy of Topeka; his brother, Arthur (Tamara) Raine, Harrison, AR; his sister, Ruth Ann (Don) Rogers, Topeka; four grandchildren, Erica (Matt) Herrin, Levi (Whitney) Raine, Tasha Raine (Jim Weir), Tamara Raine (Josh Hartman); seven great-grandchildren, Corwin Weir, Jaycee Herrin, Liam Hartman, Quinton Herrin, Talan Weir, Hinsley Raine, and Kelton Raine; three step-great-grandchildren, Preston Hartman, Gavin Hartman, and Xander Meyers.
Graveside services were at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M.
