St. Marys-- Christina Rae "Christie" Brennan, 31, died, Thursday, June 08, 2006 at her home.
She was born September 8, 1974 at Topeka, the daughter of James J. Brennan D.V.M. and Christina L. Bowers Brennan.
Christie grew up in St. Marys where she lived all of her life. She graduated from St. Marys High School in 1993. She had been employed by Big Lakes Inc. in Manhattan for 12 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys and also the Hoy-Heim American Legion Auxiliary.
Christie was preceded in death by her father James J. Brennan on May 22, 1982.
She is survived by her mother and step father Christina Brennan Rezac and Kenneth Rezac, St. Marys; a brother James C. Brennan, Wichita; six sisters, Angela Whittle, Wichita, Brenda Turner, Topeka, Frances Brunworth, Richardson, TX„ Sharon Matthews, in Japan, Shelia Wallace, Edinburg, TX. and Marilyn Mott, Topeka; a step sister, Holly Griebe, Olathe a step grandmother Phyllis Rezac, St. Marys, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Christie will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Tuesday and there will be a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys.
