EMMETT – Goldia L. Bourm, 89, Route 1, Emmett, died Saturday in a Rossville rest home where she had a been since Aug. 21.
Miss Bourm was born July 31, 1889, at Phillipsburg and lived in the Emmett community since 1900. She attended Washburn University three years and was graduated from Mount St. Scholastica College at Atchison. She in was a teacher about 50 years before she retired.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors of America, both at Emmett, Columbian Chapter No. 152, Order of Eastern Star, at Holton, and Alpha Beta Kappa teachers’ sorority.
A sister, Mrs. Fern Brown, Oskaloosa, survives. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home at Holton. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church of the donor’s choice.
