 | Obituary- Bridgeford, John John Franklin Bridgford, age 60, passed away in a Topeka hospital December 27, 155, after a long illness. He was born in Maple Hill, Kansas. He moved with his parents to Silver Lake, Kansas, and has lived there the past 55 years. He is a member of the Silver Lake Baptist Church. He served with the 353rd Infantry, Company D, during World War I and is a member of the American Legion and the Modern Woodmen of America.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Clark Bridgford of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Beth Martinek of Silver Lake and two grandchildren, Carol and Kent Martinek; two sisters Miss Nellie Wagner of Silver Lake and Mrs. Sarah Jane Griffin of Mountain View. California, and one nephew Charlies Griffin of Mountain View, California.
He is to be buried in the Silver Lake Cemetery on 29 December, 1955.
