CARBONDALE --- James Keith Cobb, 65, Carbondale, died Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Cobb was an equipment installer for AT&T. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was born March 27, 1931, at Topeka, the son of Harvy Ernest and Berniece U. Riley Cobb. He was reared at Emmett, Delia and St. Marys.
Mr. Cobb was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Scranton, Telephone Pioneers and the Communication Workers of America.
He was married to Janice Warner on Aug. 9, 1958, at Paola. She survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Jennifer Stalcup and Jeanine Ashwill, both of Carbondale, Julie Crowell, Sheridan Lake, Colo., and JoEllen Cobb, Topeka; a son, James E. Cobb, Carbondale; and nine grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Scranton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Cobb will lie in state after 4:30 p.m. today at the church, where a rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Carey Funeral Home at Burlingame is in charge of arrangements.
