Jim Conley and Bess Mercer were married at the home of the bride’s parents in Topeka on July 29, 1931. They have lived in the Rossville and Delia communities all of their married life. Mr. Conley was a farmer and stockman.

• Documents		Obituary- Conley, James L. 1 James L. Conley DELIA — Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Rossville for James L. Conley, 87, Delia. He died Monday, June 18, 1990, at his home. Mr. Conley farmed in the Sandy Hook community southeast of St. Marys from 1942 until 1952, and farmed north of Delia since. He was born Jan. 7, 1902, near Rossville, the son of Schuyler and Maude Stone Conley. Mr. Conley was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rossville and Sons of the American Revolu¬tion. He was married to Bess M. Mercer July 29, 1931, in Topeka. She died Feb. 18, 1989. Survivors include a son, Joe M. Conley, Delia; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka Mr. Conley will lie in state until noon today at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys and an hour before service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Rossville.
