  Obituary- Cowan, Keith Keith F. Cowan ROSSVILLE — Keith F. Cowan, 59, Rossville, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Cowan worked in the offices at San¬ta Fe Railway ion Topeka for more than 37 years. He also had served in the Navy. He was born Dec. 3, 1938, near Delia, the son of Lloyd and Marie DeBacker Cowan. He was raised in the Delia, Auburn and Rossville communities. He lived most his life in Rossville. Mr. Cowan was a member of St. Stanis¬laus Catholic Church in Rossville, Knights of Columbus Council No. 2755 and Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Le¬gion, both at Rossville. He was married to Martha Rottinghaus Deal on Jan. 4, 1974, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Brenda Vaughn, Tecumseh, Diane Peas- lee, Lompoc, Calif., and Katherine Moore, Topeka; a brother, Kenneth Cowan, Silver Lake; a sister, Betty Entsminger, Topeka; and four grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrat¬ed at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville. Burial with military graveside services conducted by Post No. 31 of the American Legion will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Mr. Cowan will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys, where a prayer service at 7 p.m. will be followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary. Contributions may be made to the Keith F. Cowan Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
