ROSSVILLE -- Alouise Pekarek Smith Davis, 89, Rossville, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Davis worked for the John Morrill Packing Co. in Topeka for 10 years.
She was born Nov. 21, 1910, in Huron, S.D., the daughter of Frank and Alouise Bukova Pekarek. She had lived in Olathe and Gardner, and then in Topeka before she moved to Rossville in 1953.
She married James Davis on Dec. 13, 1953, in Oskaloosa. He survives.
A son, Charles Smith, died in 1959.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Davis will lie in state from 2 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, where visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of American Hospice, and sent in care of the funeral home.
