• Documents » Slide Show		Obituary- Dohrman, Patricia 1 Patricia Dohrman Patricia Dohrman, 93, passed away peacefully May 6, 2013 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Pat will be welcomed home by husband, Lee and parents, Walter and Cora Sharrai. Pat lived her entire life in Kansas. Born Dec. 6, 1919, in Atchison, to Roy and Cora Long, spending her younger school years in Wetmore, Mayetta, later to attend Potwin and Topeka High School. She married John Hennessey, one son was born. Later, they divorced. She met Lee Dohrman while employed at Hallmark Cards. They married April 30, 1949 at Assumption Catholic Church. They began their life together in St. Marys, building a home where she lived until entering St. Marys Manor. They owned and operated farms in Pottawatomie and Jackson counties. They had two children, and celebrated 56 years together. She loved being a homemaker and being outside with her flowers and garden. Later years, she enjoyed vacationing with family in Minnesota and trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii. She converted to Catholicism and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She will be remembered for saying the nightly Rosary with Lee, collecting rocks, fossils, antiques and her love of dancing and listening to big band music. She was a wonderful mother and friend to many. Surviving family, sons, Jack Hennessey (Brianne) Pleasant Hill, MO, Richard Dohrman (Linda) Delia, KS daughter, Janice (Jan) Dohrman, Topeka, KS; sisters, Phyllis Hirst (Darold) Overland Park, KS, Beverly Flanders (Ray) and Shirley Flanders (Richard) both of Topeka; 6 grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Saturday May 11, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. She will lie in state at the church after 4:00 PM, Friday, May 10, where the family will receive friends at 6 PM and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Hennessey, one son was born. Later they divorced. She met Leo J. Dohrman while employed at Hall¬mark Cards. They married April 30, 1949 at Assumption Catholic Church. Pat and Lee began their life together in St. Marys where they later built a home where she lived, until entering the St. Marys Manor in 2010. They were farmers/stockman and owned and operated farms in Pottawatomie and Jackson counties. They had two children, and celebrated 56 years together. She loved being a homemaker and being outside with her flowers and garden. She loved hosting dinners, fixing and repairing things, and was known by family for being well organized and a perfectionist. She enjoyed vacationing and visiting with family in Minnesota. In later years, she and Lee enjoyed several trips to Las Vegas and a trip to Hawaii. She converted to Catholicism and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her many years of dedication for saying a nightly devotional Rosary with Lee, and her interest in collecting rocks, fossils, antiques, and collectables. She loved to dance and listen to big band music. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Surviving family; two sons, Jack Hennessey (Brianne), Pleasant Hill, MO; Richard Dohrman (Linda), Delia, KS; one daughter, Janice (Jan) Dohrman, Topeka, KS; three sisters, Phyllis Hirst (Darold), Overland Park, KS; Beverly Flanders (Ray), Topeka, KS; and Shirley Flanders, (Richard),Topeka, KS; six grandchildren, Matthew Dohrman, Lucas Dohrman, Amy Whitmore, April Dohrman, all of Delia, KS; Jacob Dohrman, Topeka, KS; and Kristine Bryan, Overland Park, KS; and eleven greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Gravesite services was held at Mt.   		Birthday- Dohrman, Patricia PATRICIA “PAT” DOHRMAN To celebrate 90th birthday Patricia “Pat” Dohrman will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open reception on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Maple Hill Senior Citizens’ Center, Maple Hill. The celebration will be hosted by Pat’s children Jack Hennessey and Brianne Hampton, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; Rick and Linda Dohrman, Delia; and Janice (Jan) Dohrman, Topeka; with special help from Pat’s sisters Phyllis Hirst, Beverly Flanders and Shirley Flanders. The family welcomes Pat’s relatives, friends, and neighbors to join us in this celebration of her life. Pat married Lee Dohrman on April 30, 1949. They celebrated close to 56 years of marriage together. She has lived in the St. Marys community for over 60 years.
