Failer, 67, Topeka, who died late Saturday, Aug. 15, 1987, at a Topeka convalescent center. She was born July 26, 1920, in Topeka, the daughter of Roy and Irene Montgomery Brayman. She lived in Rossville before she moved to Topeka in 1980. She was married to John E. Failer Jr., June 28, 1940, at Holton. He died March 11, 1985. An infant son, William Failer, died in August 1943 and a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Adams, died in December 1968. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Maus, Emmett; four sons, John Failer, 127 Sanneman Drive, James Failer, Delia, Dale Failer, 128 Sanneman Drive, and Richard Failer, 2431 Minnesota; a half brother, Wayne Bayless, Independence, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Failer will lie in state after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
