Edward W. Ellis, 79, Topeka, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 1994.
Mr. Ellis was a special employee for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 10 years, a revenue officer for the Internal Revenue Service for five years and retired in 1974 as head of the Federal Housing Authority at Kan¬sas City, Kan., for 14 years before he retired in 1974.
He was born Nov. 29, 1914, in Compton, Calif., the son of William E. and Wilhelmina Tietze Ellis. He was graduated from Rossville High School and attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He completed his degree work in St. Louis.
He was married to L. June Ginter on Aug, 3, 1940, in Washington D.C. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Beth St. Mary, Gaithersburg, Md.; a son, Fred Ellis, Dallas; two grand-children; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Mr. Ellis was cremated. Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorial contribu¬tions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box No. 251, Topeka, 66601. Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
