• Documents		Obituary- Gordon, Jane 1 Jane Gordon Jane Emily Gordon, 68, Topeka, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at a Baldwin City nursing home. Mrs. Gordon had worked for the state of Kansas for more than 27 years before she retired in February 1995. She was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Wamego, the daughter of Emil F. and Josephine Mayer Brunkow. She was raised in Wamego and graduated from Wamego High School in 1951. She lived in Rossville from 1960 until she moved to Topeka in 1980. She married James D. Gordon on Aug. 6, 1955, in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include a sister, Lucille M. DeWyke, Wamego; and a brother, Cleo E. Brunkow, Wamego. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by a son, Ronald J. Gordon, Nov. 11, 1979. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville. Burial will be at the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Gordon will lie in state after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. The casket will remain closed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart of America Hospice or to the Rossville Library and sent in care of the funeral chapel.

She was born February 4, 1933 in Wamego, the daughter of Emil F. and Josephine Mayer Brunkow. She lived in Topeka since 1980. She grew up in the Wamego community and was graduated from Wamego High School in 1951. She had worked for the State of Kansas for 27 1/2 years, retiring in February 1995. She had lived in Rossville from 1960 until 1980, when she moved to Topeka. She married James D. Gordon on August 6, 1955 in Topeka. He sur-vives. A son, Ronald J. Gordon, died November 11, 1979. Other survivors include a sister, Lucille M. DeWyke, Wamego; a brother, Cleo E. Brunkow, Wamego; several nieces and nephews. Her service was Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Piper Funeral Chapel, Rossville. Burial was iii Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart of America Hospice or to the Rossville Library and sent in care of Piper Funeral Chapel, Rossville 66533.
