  Obituary- Griffiths, Theresa Theresa Griffiths DELIA —Theresa Burghart Griffiths, 61, Delia, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Griffiths was a customer service representative for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for four years. She was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Topeka, the daughter of George John and Margaret Mary Hartman Burghart. She attended Hayden High School and had lived in Delia the past 19 years. She married William Birk Griffiths on Jan. 30, 1982, in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Michaela Griffiths, at home, and Tammy Lynn Vardys, Lawrence; a son, Michael Brandenburg, Topeka; seven sisters, Patricia Ann Taylor and Marilyn McLaughlin, both of Kansas City, Mo.. Ginny Trygg, Linda Gilchrist, Christine Gassen and Sandy Newton, all of Topeka, and Rita Greene, Webster, Fla.; three brothers, John Burghart and Richard Burghart, both of Topeka, and George Burghart III, Valley Falls; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Parish. Burial will be at Valencia Cemetery. Mrs. Griffiths will lie in state after 3 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606-2800.
