Griswold, Tuesday, December 28th, in the rose room of the Hotel Jayhawk in Topeka, in honor of the Golden Wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Griswold. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Griswold, of Rossville; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie H. Griswold and Betty Jean of Shawnee, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin B. Griswold, Dale, Mary and Don, of Newton, Kan; Mr. and Mrs. George E. Ryder of Independence, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lyon, Bruce, Duane and Richard, of Newton, Kansas. The party was continued at Rossville until Wednesday, when they dispersed to their various homes.
  		Anniversary- Griswold, Edgar and Nettie 2 OBSERVE 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Griswold Sunday, December 28, were Mr. and Mrs. Les lie H. Griswold and Betty Jean, of Shawnee, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin B. Griswold and Don of Newton, Kansas, Dr. and Mrs. Dale Griswold of Newton, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lyon, Bruce, Duane, and Richard of Newton, Kansas. The family gathering was in celebration of the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Griswold, who were married sixty years ago here in Rossville.

Griswold, as son, heir at law, legatee and devisee of Nettie Griswold, deceased, and as executor named in the Will of said decedent, praying for the admission to probate of the Will of Nettie Griswold, dated November 3, 1959, and Codicil thereto, dated January 30, 1962, which instruments are filed with Petition, and for the appointment of Sherwin B. Griswold as executor of said Will, without bond, and you are hereby required to file your written defenses thereto on or before the 13th day of September, 1963, at ten o’clock, A.M., of said day, in said court, in the city of Topeka, in Shawnee County, Kansas, at which time and place said cause will be heard.   		Obituary- Griswold, Nettie 1 Nettie Griswold, 86, of Rossville, Dies Mrs. Nettie Griswold, 86, of Rossville died Thursday morning in a Topeka hospital. She had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday at her home. The daughter of Otis and Clarissa Howard, she was born July 22, 1877, at South Shaftbury, VT., and moved with her parents to Rossville in 1889. After attending Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia, she taught school and gave music lessons. Mrs. Griswold was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church, where she was choir director for many years. Her husband, E. G. Griswold, died June 21, 1963. She is survived by two sons, Leslie H. Griswold of Shawnee, Okla., and Sherwin B. Griswold of Newton, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Lyon of Newton; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Rossville Methodist Church with burial in the Rossville Cemetery. The Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
