Everett R. Frederick, 67, Topeka, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1988, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Frederick was a fuel foreman for the Kansas Power and Light Co. in Tecumseh for 37 years before he retired in 1983.
He was born in St. Marys on Jan. 5, 1921, the son of Henry J. and Sophia B. Sieger Frederick.
Mr. Frederick moved to Topeka in 1946 from St. Marys.
He was a member of the Civil Conservation Crop during World War II.
Mr. Frederick was a member of the Church of the Assumption, an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 534, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 304 and the White Lakes Walkers Club.
He was married to Rose Mary Degand on Jan. 17, 1946, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, David E. Frederick, Topeka, and Thomas E. Frederick, Tecumseh; a daughter, Linda Rose Frederick Kind, Wichita; two brothers, Joseph S. Frederick, Delia, and Roy J. Frederick, Overland Park; a sister, Bernadette Schumacher, Dallas; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was at 9 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Assumption. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Everett R. Frederick Memorial Fund at Assumption Church.
