 | Obituary- Bailey, James James Henry Bailey
James Henry Bailey, 73, 711 Gar¬field, died Thursday, Dec. 6, at a Topeka nursing home. He suffered a stroke July 19, 1984.
Mr. Bailey farmed in the De¬lia community all his life except for 5 1/2 years he spent in California where he worked at a Naval Air Base.
He was born Nov. 29, 1911, at
Mayetta, the son of Mirl and Effie Bailey.
Mr. Bailey was a member and longtime assistant superintendent of Pottawatomi United Methodist Church at Mayetta, past master of Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, and three-time past patron of Hoyt Chapter No. 189 of the Order of Eastern Star.
He was married to Myrtle Dellin¬ger on Sept. 27, 1933, at Lyndon. She survives.
Other survivors include a step¬daughter, Mrs. Donna Westfall, To¬peka; three brothers, Emerson Bai¬ley and Stanley Bailey, both of Silver Lake, and Lester Bailey, De¬lia; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, in Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Pottawatomi United Methodist Church, Mayetta, 66509.
