Louise Ethel Huffman, 80, Topeka, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at her home.
She was born February 3,1919, at Elbing, the daughter of Daniel J. and Nora Jane Hart Tipton.
She was reared in Burlington and moved to Topeka in 1938.
Mrs. Huffman was employed by Sears for over 20 years before she retired. She had bowled in several Topeka leagues for many years. Mrs. Huffman was an avid Kansas City Royals fan.
He married John Allen Huffman on November 16, 1935 at Yates Center. He died June 1, 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Robert R. Huffman, Rossville, and Billy G. Huffman, San Benito, TX; one daughter, Faye Maher, Mustang, OK, one sister, Celia Fleming, Rancho Cuchamunga, CA; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Her service was Thursday at the Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Louise Ethel Huffman, 80, Topeka, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Elbing in Butler County, to Daniel J. and Nora Jane Hart Tipton.
She lived in Burlington before she moved to Topeka in 1938. She was employed by Sears & Roebuck Co., for more than 20 years before she retired.
Mrs. Huffman was a long-time bowler in several Topeka leagues.
She married John Allen Huffman on Nov. 16, 1935 in Yates Center. He died on June 1, 1987.
Survivors include sons, Robert R. Huffman, Rossville, and Billy G. Huffman, San Benito, Texas; a daughter, Faye Maher, Mustang, Okla; a sister, Celia Fleming, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Huffman will lie in state after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
