Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jenssen will be honored with a 25th wedding anniversary reception from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, December 17, at their home in Rossville.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
Hosts for the occasion will be their children, Edward Jenssen, Manhattan; Mr. and Mrs. David Jenssen, Topeka; Donna Jenssen and Darryl Jenssen, at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jenssen were married on December 26, 1953, at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville.

ROSSVILLE — Donald D. Jenssen, 64, Rossville, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Jenssen was a production balance man at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. at Topeka. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953, including 18 months in Korea. He earned the Bronze Star Award.
He was born June 27, 1928, in Scranton, the son of Kurt F. and Fern L. Dudney Jenssen. He was graduated from Harveyville High School in 1946, then farmed with his father near Harveyville from 1946 to 1951. He lived in Topeka from 1951 to 1958 and since then in Rossville.
Mr. Jenssen was a member of United Rubber Workers of America AFL-CIO Local Union No. 307 and Goodyear Retirees Club, both in Topeka, and Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville.
He was married to Genevieve M. Bixby on Dec. 26, 1953. She survives. A daughter, Joyce Annette Jenssen, died Aug. 3, 1963.
Other survivors include a daughter, Donna Brunin, Rossville; three sons, Edward Jenssen and Daryl Jenssen, both of Rossville, and David Jenssen, Topeka; two sisters, Hilde McLean, Kansas City, Mo., and Marilyn Todd, Spring Hill; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Military graveside services will be conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Jenssen will lie in state after 10 a.m. Sunday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
