Joann “Jo” Jorgenson, 81, of Delia passed away Dec. 31, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Delia. She was born March 4,1929, in Greenleaf, the daughter of Golden and Viola (Gauby) Cope. Jo graduated from Morrowville High School. She attended college for one year and taught school in a one-room schoolhouse.
She was most proud of being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to “Jug” Jorgenson on May 14, 1948, in Belleville. He preceded her in death April 27, 2000. Her parents, Golden and Vi Cope, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Dan Jorgenson and Bonita of Delia, and a daughter, Judy Blush and her husband Terry of Delia. Five grandchildren, Kim Mulford of Delia, Jeff Blush of Silver Lake, Jeremy Blush of Delia, Tabetha Mallonee of Lecompton, Dave Jorgenson of Austin, Texas, and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Mulford, Brad Mallonee and Brodie Mallonee, also survive.
Graveside services were at the Washington City Cemetery.
