William Leeper dies in Great Bend
William Anderson Leeper was born on August 22, 1884 in Rawlins County, Kansas near the town of Atwood. His parents were William Albert and Nancy Elizabeth Leeper. He died following an extended illness on April 4, 1962 in Great Bend, Kansas.
On Jan. 27, 1908 he was married to Neveda Page of Hamilton Co., Kansas in the town of Syracuse. They began their married life near that town.
Eleven children were born, ten of whom survive his death. They are: Elmer of Great Bend, Eugene of Liberal, Kansas, Lawrence of Great Bend, George of Ellinwood, Mrs. Geneva Rathburn, Great Bend, Mrs. Gladys Lee, Ellinwood, Mrs. Irene Hoobler, Maple Hill, Kansas, Mrs. Mildred Lemon, Lompoc, Calif., Mrs. Betty Scheufler, Ellinwood, Mrs. Mabel Herl; one son, Earl, passed away in early boyhood.
Also surviving his passing besides his wife, Nevada, and the children are 33 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, George of El Cerrito, Calif., and Charlie of Great Falls, Montana, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Mason of Rossville and Ada Leeper of Sunland, Calif.
