    LEMON-TABER
    Mr. Troy Lemon and Miss Ida Taber were married at Manhattan yesterday morning, and left immediately on a wedding tour through western Kansas, and will visit in Denver Colo., and Cheyenne, Wyoming, before returning home.

    The wedding came as a surprise to the parents of the young people and their friends. Mrs. Lemon is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Taber, of the Willard neighborhood. Mr. Lemon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lemon, living northwest of Rossville, lie is steady and a reliable young man who was born and reared in this community. After the return of Mr. and Mrs. Lemon about August 1, they will make their home with his parents for the present.

    Troy S. Lemon

    Troy S. Lemon, 87, St. Marys, died Wednesday, Dec. 14,1983, at a St. Marys nursing home.

    He was born January 1, 1896, in Rossville, the son of Charles and Alice Victoria Kirby Lemon.

    Mr. Lemon lived in the Rossville and Dover communities where he farmed until 1947 when he moved to St. Marys. He worked for the St. Marys Township road maintenance department more than 25 years.

    He was married to Ida Taber July 16, 1924, at Manhattan. She died Oct. 18, 1982.

    Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Hoover, St. Marys; a sister, Mrs. Alverta Carrell, Rossville; and a grandchild.

    Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery.
