Both are popular young people living a few miles northwest of town--the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lemon and the bride has made her home for several years past with her uncle, Mr. Kennett. The Reporter joins their many friends in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous wedded life.
  		Anniversary- Lemon, Cecil and Anna Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lemon were pleasantly surprised last Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Charley Lemon, where relatives gathered to help them celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. A covered dish luncheon was served cafeteria style. Mr. and Mrs. Lemon were presented with two sets of silver ware. The following relatives and friends were present: Mr. and Mrs. James Lee and sons, of Axtel, Ks., Mr. and Mrs. John Lee and sons of Vermilon; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Holder and children of Soldier; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lee and family of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Troy Lemon. Miss Frances Whittington, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Carrol of Manhattan; Mrs. Dora Lee of Topeka; Miss Alice Lemon. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lemon and children.

• Documents		Obituary- Lemon, Virgil 1 Virgil L. Lemon Services will be at 10 a m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary for Virgil L. Lemon, 72, Rossville, formerly of Manhattan. He died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1989, at his home. Mr. Lemon was a heavy equipment operator before he retired. He was born Aug. 12, 1916, at Rossville, the son of Cecil and Anna Lee Lemon. He lived in Manhattan before he returned to Rossville in 1970. Mr. Lemon was a member of the Christian Church in Rossville and Moose Lodge No. 555 in Topeka. He was married to Hazel E. Simon April 17, 1937, at Manhattan. She died Sept. 20, 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Eagles, Topeka; two sisters, Anita Vande Velde, St. Marys, and Dorothy McDonald, Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; two brothers, Clyde Lemon, Des Moines, Iowa, and Don Lemon, St. Louis; and two granddaughters. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Lemon will lie in state after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The casket will remain closed. Contributions may be made to the Virgil Lemon Memorial Fund yet to be designated by relatives and sent in care of Shirley Eagles, 3737 Plaza Drive, 66609, or Box 241, Rossville, 66533.
