Services will be at 10 a.rm today at First Lutheran Church in Topeka for William W. Parr, 67, Rossville, who died Wednesday at a Topeka hospital.
He was born July 23, 1915, in Topeka, the son of William and Amelia Wunsch Parr, and lived in Rossville 26 years.
Mr. Parr worked at the Topeka Supply Depot until 1948 when he moved to Whiting where he operated a service station. He later worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Topeka 26 years before he retired in 1977. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and Local No. 307 of United Rubber Workers of America AFL-CIO, both in Topeka.
He was married to Marie Kaufman April 2, 1937, in Topeka. She survives. A daughter, Kay Parr, died in 1952.
Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Janice Pope and Mrs. Nancy Besta, both of Topeka, Mrs. Patricia Martinek, Union City, Tenn., and Mrs. Linda Rafferty, San Antonio, Texas; a son, William S. Parr, Newport Beach, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and a great- granddaughter.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Parr will lie in state from 9 a.m. today until service time at First Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church, 1234 Fairlawn Road, 66604. Parker-Price Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
