  Obituary- Remler, Peter Early Day Rossville Citizen Dies Suddenly Peter C. Remler, 78-year-old proprietor of the Hotel Sterling at Springfield, Mo., and former owner of a chain of hotels in Kansas and Southwest Missouri, died suddenly Sunday in his automobile at Goodland, Kans. while enroute to Denver. Remler sold his hotel interests in Kansas and Southwest Missouri 15 years ago when he took over operation of the Sterling. Funeral services were held in Denver. Mr. Remler once was in the restaurant business in Rossville in partnership with the late O.A. Zickefoose in the building now occupied by the Reporter office. At that time he was a baker and will be remembered by some of the local oldtimers.
