Services for Adolphus Johnson Thomas, 63, were at 2 p. m. Monday in the Silver Lake Methodist Church, with burial in Silver Lake Cemetery. He died Thursday in a Kansas City hospital.
Mr. Thomas was born March 26, 1899 in Silver Lake and lived in the community all his life. He attended Washburn and Kansas State Universities.
Mr. Thomas was an organizer of the Silver Lake Drainage District and a director of the district a number of years.
He was a member of the Silver Lake Methodist Church, Lake Lodge No. 50, AF&AM, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his widow, Mabel, at home; two sons, Adolphus H. and Charles, both of Silver Lake, and a daughter, Mrs. Louise A. Todd, Denver.
