DELIA – Lillian “Ah-Quap-Ko” C. Thomas, 82, Delia, died Sunday at a Holton hospital.
She was born April 25, 1898, at Delia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shopteese. She spent most of her life in Delia and was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Indian Tribe.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Etheleene Chenault, 602 W. 7th, Topeka, and Mrs. LaVeda Wahweotten, Hoyt; five sons, Melvin Thomas, Kenneth Thomas, and Marlin Thomas, all of Delia, Dale Thomas, Raco, Mich., and Charles Thomas, 602 W. 7th, Topeka; a brother, Simon Shopteese, Mayetta; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Drum services will be Tuesday evening at the community hall, Mayetta. Burial will be Wednesday afternoon at Dance Ground Cemetery, Mayetta. Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, is in charge of arrangements.
