ANNIVERSARY
The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Navarre occurred Saturday and was passed very quietly.
Remembrances from their children and friends of beautiful flowers, gifts, cards and letters were received; Their children, Dr. and Mrs. C. K. Thomas of Enid, Oklahoma, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Plantamura of West Long Branch, New Jersey, were unable to be home at this time.

Thomas, who, before her marriage November 20, was Miss Williamette Navarre, was the honoree at a miscellaneous shower, Saturday afternoon, Dec. 3, given by Misses Grace Sanders and Thelma Cless at the latter’s home. The time was passed in a delightful informal manner, contests and games being the chief diversions. The bride was presented many lovely gifts which she unwrapped and displayed on the dining room table. Dainty refreshments of fruit salad with whipped cream, cake and cocoa were served. Services were at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Christian Church in Enid, Okla. For Mrs. Williamette Thomas, 62, Enid, who was dead on arrival August 30, 1975 at an Enid hospital. Mrs. Thomas had been ill with cancer for four months.
She was born September 15, 1912, in Beloit, Ks. and moved to Rossville with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Pete Navarre, who owned the “Rossville Reporter”, when she was a child. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Manhattan Bible College.
She was employed as a teller in an Enid bank. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Enid, the Business Professional Women’s Guild of the church, and was past president of the Enid Business and Professional Women’s Club. She also was a member of the hospital auxiliary at Bass Baptist Memorial Hospital in Enid.
She was married to Cecil K. Thomas in 1932 at Valley Falls, Ks. They lived in Topeka several years before moving to Enid in 1944. Mr. Thomas preceded her in death in 1961.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Peggy) Plantamura, West Longbranch, N.J.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid under direction of the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Mrs. Joyce Brennan, Rossville, attended the funeral services.

ENID, Okla – Services were held today at the Central Christian Church here for Mrs. Williamette Thomas, 62, Enid, who was dead on arrival Aug. 30 at an Enid hospital. Mrs. Thomas had been ill with cancer for four months.
She was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Beloit, Kan., and moved to Rossville with her parents when she was a child. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Manhattan Bible College.
