ROSSVILLE -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church here for Mrs. Edna Marie White, 78, Pacifica, Calif., a former Kansan, who died Saturday in San Francisco. She had been ill since February.
She was born Aug. 20, 1897, at Rossville and lived in California about 32 years.
She formerly was a member of the United Methodist Church at Rossville and was a member of Royal Neighbors of America. She also was a member of Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, Order of Eastern Star, at Rossville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Preston White, and by a son Gerald White.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Doris Townsend, San Francisco; a son, William White, San Carlos, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Gwen McAfee, Decatur, Ala., Mrs. Mildred Fisher, 2037 High, and Mrs. Olive Cochran, 1163 Boswell, both in Topeka; two brothers, Vernon Myers, Rossville, and Dr. Clark Myers, Decatur, Ga.; and a grandchild.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery today will lie in state after 6 p.m. today at Parker Mortuary in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church at Rossville or to the Kansas Heart Association.
