Probate Judge Schoch served as a priest of Hymen this morning in binding together in wedlock Arthur E. White, aged 32 and Miss Grace Evelyn Myers, aged 20, of Rossville, Kan. The marriage ceremony was performed in the judge's office at 11 o'clock this morning and the couple left the court house with happiness beaming from their countenances as they embarked upon the more or less uncertain matrimonial sea. |

Ritchie Arthur White, M/Sgt, US Army Air Force, ret, fourth son of ten children of Arthur E. and Grace E. Myers White was born August 19, 1915, at Rossville. He passed away at his home in Riverside, Calif., May 27, 1984. Impressive graveside services were held in Riverside National Cemetery, during which a single plane passed over the gravesite and dipped its wings.
Ritchie White attended schools in Louisville, Silver Lake, Delia, and Rossville. During the depression of the thirties, he was in a CCC Camp in Minnesota for several months. In 1940, he joined the Air Force in San Francisco and saw service in Washington State, Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Rabat, North Africa and California. He retired from the Air Force in 1961 at Riverside where he continued his residence.
On October 15, 1941, Ritchie White and Miss Helen Ross were married in Washington and their home was wherever his military service took him. His widow survives him.
Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Peggy McAdon, Newbury Park, Calif.; five brothers, Zim and Clayton White, So. San Francisco, Lt. Cdr. ret. Bob P. White, Jacksonville, Fla., Don, Campbell, Calif., and Bill P. White, Carrollton, Tex.; three aunts, Miss Grace M. White, Rossville, Mrs. Mildred Myers, Fisher, Topeka, and Mrs. Gwen Myers McAfee, Decatur, Ala.; one uncle, Dr. Clark E. Myers, Decatur, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Memorial contributions to American Society in local community.
