 | Obituary- Arnold, Louis 2 Louis Peter Arnold passed away Saturday night at Glenn hospital after a short illness.
He was born September 14, 1873 at Terre Haute, Ind., and was the son of Anthony and Philiphine Martin Arnold.
He came to Wamego and was united in marriage on Nov. 22, 1904 at Wamego to Miss Madgelene Ziegler.
To this union eleven children were born, two preceding him in death. They were Louis, Jr. in 1926 and Genevieve Arnold Hauldren in 1942.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Leo A. of Newton, Francis C. of Denver, Peter of the home, Frank in the U.S. Army overseas, Mrs. Katherine Ott, Mrs. Marie Carr of Kansas City, Miss Elizabeth Arnold of the home, Mrs. Florence Sherlock of St. Helens, Ore., Mrs. Josephine Pierce of Kansas City and eleven grandchildren. There are also three brothers, Frank Arnold of Quincy, Ill., John Arnold of Independence, Mo., and Joseph Arnold of Portland, Ore.
Mr. Arnold was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for 24 years, retiring in 1942.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at the St. Bernard Church, with the Rev. Father Hauser reading the service. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. |
