George Winfrey of Valley Falls died Wednesday in a Kansas City hospital. He was born in Smith County, Tennessee and had lived in Kansas 60 years. The family resided in the vicinity of Rossville for a number of years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Anderson, Mayetta; seven sons, James Winfrey, Casper, Wyo., Harold, Raymond and Victor Winfrey, all of Sioux City, Iowa; Willard Winfrey, Manhattan; Russell and Cleo Winfrey of Kansas City, Mo.; two nieces, Mrs. Estella Logan, 905 College, Topeka; and Mrs. Cora B. Jones, Kansas City, Kan., and a nephew, James Nichols, Paxico.
The body was brought to Rossville Cemetery for burial.
