Alice Rebecca Lee Baird, 84, Topeka, died Saturday, May 16, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Baird was an elementary school teacher at Possom Col¬lege School near McFarland, Rebekah I.O.O.F. Orphanage near Manhattan, East Indianola, Golden Rule, and the Boy’s Industrial School, all in Topeka. Parallel School near Clyde and Clifton Elementary School.
She was born October 11, 1907, in Waterville, the daugh¬ter of Harry and Levetta Gale Otto Lee.
Mrs. Baird was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, National Education Associa¬tion, Kaw Valley Community Club, Wayside Garden Club, Merry Widows Plus One, Oak¬land Garden Club, and the Sweet Adelines.
She was married to William Allen Baird, Jr., on November 5, 1946, in Topeka. He died June 14, 1984.
Survivors include a step¬daughter, Norma Jean Freeborn, Topeka; a sister, Gale Cummings, Rossville; and two step- grandchildren.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Parker- Price Mortuary, Topeka.
Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.
