Mr. and Mrs. Alf Koci of Topeka will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary October 10 with a reception in the community room in the basement of the mall at White Lakes Shopping Center.
No invitations are being issued for the open house, but friends and relatives are invited to call between 2 and 5 p.m. The couple requests that no gifts be presented.
Mr. and Mrs. Koci were married October 12, 1915, in Topeka. They have lived in the Auburn and Delia communities all their lives until moving to Topeka last July. Mrs. Koci was the former Rosie Kovar.
They are the parents of six children: Mrs. Viola Beach, Silver Lake; Mrs. Nina Wehner, Eudora; Mrs. Gladys Smith, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Richard Koci, Merriam; Irvin Koci, Philadelphia, Pa., and Clyde Koci, Topeka.
There are thirteen grand-children and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rosie Koci, 88, formerly of 2509 Buchanan, died Friday, Nov. 15, at a Topeka nursing home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1897, in the Delia community in Jackson County, the daughter of John and Anna Balusek Kovar. She lived in Delia and then Auburn before she moved to the Topeka area in 1944.
Mrs. Koci was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Delia.
She was married to Alfred Clare Koci Oct. 12, 1915, at Topeka. He died June 10, 1968. A son, Richard Koci, died March 11, 1981.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Viola Layman, Topeka, Mrs. Nina Wehner, Eudora, and Mrs. Gladys Smith, Oklahoma City; two sons, Clyde Koci, Topeka, and Irvin Koci, Richardson, Texas; a brother, Charley Kovar, Delia; 13 grandchildŽren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. MonŽday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer FuŽneral Home. Burial will be in Czech-Moravan Cemetery, northeast of Rossville. Mrs. Koci will lie in state after 5 p.m. today at the funerŽal home where the family will meet with friends from 7 until 8 p.m. SunŽday.
